Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Brickworks Macon Concrete and Masonry website and any estimate, scheduling or work you arrange with us through it. By using the site or booking work with us, you agree to them.
If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You can still call us at (478) 309-1109 to talk through your job.
What we do
Brickworks Macon Concrete and Masonry is a masonry contractor in Macon, GA. We work on brick, block, stone and concrete, including foundations, chimneys, walls, pavers and walkways, for homes in Macon and the cities around it.
The service descriptions on our home page and elsewhere on the site explain the kind of work we do in general terms. They aren't a promise that a given method, material or result fits your house. What we'll actually do on your job is what we write in your estimate or agreement.
You can read more about our crew and how we work on our about page.
Estimates and pricing
We give free in-person estimates with no obligation, because we need to see the masonry ourselves before we can price it fairly. An estimate is based on what we can see that day and what you tell us about the job.
Masonry often hides problems behind the face of a wall, under a slab or inside a chimney. If we open up the work and find damage or conditions we couldn't see during the estimate, we'll stop, show you what we found and agree on any change in scope or price with you before we go further.
Prices or ranges you see anywhere on this site are general information, not a quote for your job. An estimate holds for the period written on it, so material costs can change after that date.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We'll give you a start date when you approve the work, and we'll do our best to keep it. Mortar and concrete need the right weather to set properly, so rain, freezing temperatures or extreme heat can push a start or finish date back, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us as early as you can. If we've already ordered materials made or cut for your job, or started work, you may owe for those materials and the work done up to that point, as set out in your agreement.
Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written into your estimate or agreement before we start. On larger jobs we may ask for a deposit so we can order materials, with the balance due when the work is finished.
If a payment goes unpaid past its due date, we may pause work until it's settled. You're responsible for reasonable costs we have to pay to collect an overdue balance, to the extent Georgia law allows.
Our workmanship and what we don't warranty
We're fully licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work with satisfaction guaranteed on every job. If something we built or repaired isn't right, call us and we'll come back out to look at it and work with you to fix it.
Any written warranty for a specific job is the one in your agreement. Beyond that, we can't warrant against problems we didn't cause, such as soil settling, drainage or water problems elsewhere on the property, damage from storms, trees or vehicles, other people's work, or normal weathering and color variation in brick, stone and mortar.
Materials such as brick, pavers, stone, block and fireplace units carry the maker's own warranty, if they have one. We'll pass along what the maker provides, but those warranties are between you and the maker.
Information on this website is offered as general guidance and is provided as is. We don't promise it's complete or right for your situation, so please talk with us before acting on it.
Limits on our liability
To the extent Georgia law allows, Brickworks Macon Concrete and Masonry isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your property or lost income, that come from our website or our work. Our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that Georgia law doesn't allow a business to limit, such as liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Settling a disagreement
If you're unhappy with anything we've done, please call us first, because most problems get sorted out fastest by walking the job together. We'll respond within 1 business day.
If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try good-faith mediation before going to court. Any lawsuit that still follows will be filed in the state or federal courts serving Bibb County, Georgia.
Georgia law applies
These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes don't alter an estimate or agreement you've already signed with us unless we both agree in writing.
Questions about these terms
If anything here isn't clear, call us at (478) 309-1109 or send a note through our contact page, and we'll explain it in plain terms before you book any work.
